Best puppy and Reserve Best puppy in show - British Collie Championship show 2010

What can I say about our Sassy!

An absolute delight to live with having a wonderful temperament.  Sassy loves everybody and has taken her move from the Foxearth kennels to our home life completely in her stride, much to the amazement of the dogs in the household as she soon found her way onto the sofa with me!

I saw Sassy's full brother at Manchester 2010 and commented to his breeder how much I liked him.  Trevor told me the sister was even better which I took with a pinch of salt at the time.  However, I met Sassy at the British Collie Club Championship show a few months later and thought her stunning.

Sassy was my exact interpretation of the breed standard with that special something else as far as I was concerned.
However she seems to have decided the showing world is not really for her which is flustrating for all concened and many of the judges it has to be said.  Though my philosophy is others may have the green cards but who else has a bitch of this calibre to breed from?
Sassy will attend a few shows outside next summer hopefully after her litter.

Her litter sister has won extremely well with many awards including 5 CC's, while her litter brother Foxearth Felix Cited and her Dam Sandcastles All Dressed now have taken their UK Titles both on the same day!
Another litter brother Foxearth Forward Thinking for McClelland now has 4 Rcc's.

I now hope Sassy will become the foundation of my small kennel in this lovely breed.
Her pedigree is very special as far as I am concerned (see below) and I will always be indebted to both Birgit and Trevor for the kindness and trust shown to me.

Sassy is a challenge to show to say the least, however I will persevere with her during the summer shows.
Her critiques below show how stunning she is.............

Scottish Breeds March 2011  Judge Mr B Makepeice  (Lynaire)

Limit Bitch
  1st French & Haywood’s Foxearth Sticky Fingers

Sable bitch of beautiful type. She has a lovely head, eye and expression and she excels in neck and body shape and was in good condition, she moved so well both front and rear and did just enough to win this class, could go all the way to the top if she relaxed a little more.

LKA 2010  Mrs I Griffiths

PGB French & Haywards Foxearth Stocky Fingers.   18 month old S/W who needs to regain her confidence, but very much the type I was looking for.  Super balance, excellent angulation fore and aft.   Length to height ratio just right.  Level topline, in good jacket, good legs with neat feet, did just enough on the move.
With such quality, she must surely settle down and fulfill our high expectations of her.

Manchester 2011  Mrs V Geddes

PGB (3,1) French & Hayward Foxearth Sticky Fingers. S/W, lovely size, substance and proportions, excellent head and well placed eyes. Not happy here today and did nothing to show her true virtues. Good neck and topline with well made body, moved true and free. Told she had changed ownership recently, so hopefully she will come together when settled.

British Collie club Christmas open show 2010  Mrs L Salt

1st Post Grad   Best Bitch       Best of Breed

1st Foxearth Sticky Fingers.  Lovely S/W 18 month old bitch with feminine head and well shaped dark eye, neat ears, well used, good neck and shoulders.  Nice body shape and topline, tail carried well, good turn of stifle.  Moved well, Little unsettled at the end due to noisy heating system.  Best of Breed.

Leeds Championship show 2010  Mrs A Smith

PGB (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: HAYWARD Mr T & Mrs B Foxearth Sticky Fingers. S/w sister to CC winner, another very pretty head, set on a good neck, balanced body and with level topline and well carried tail. Not as strong on the move as her sister.

Scottish Breeds 2010  Mr A Wight

PB (2) 1 Fort’s Shulune Imperial Legacy, a smashing s/w who I thought to be a total charmer. I know she can be a little unsettled on the move when she does her semi goose step impersonation but once settled she shows that she can look dignified & even striding when she puts her mind to it. Her size & outline are quite captivating, her angles so good, coat & presentation flawless & what a show off in stance. I loved her head, the eyes are quite beautiful & those perfectly set & carried ears completed the picture. Just 9 months old she surely is a bright new star in the breed. BP & CC; 2 Hayward’s Foxearth Sticky Fingers, another s/w but this one still at the playful, raw stage. Has much to like, possibly the best front & rear angulation of the day, very good neck & spring of rib. Carrying too much bodyweight at present & proved quite a handful for her handler when asked to move. Her head is a good one piece shape, enough length & very good eyes. Just needs time.

British Collie Championship show 2010  Judge Mr A Clarke (Lynway)

PB (7) 1 Hayward's Foxearth Sticky Fingers, Very promising puppy with a nice head of correct proportions with nice muzzle stop and skull. She has a nice eye set correctly and has a nice expression. she is feminine but with good bone and substance. nice outline and good angulation, I was pleased to give her this class and ultimately best puppy in breed well done.

LKA 2009  Judge E Moores (Manordeifi)

JB (3,2) 1 Hayward’s Foxearth Sticky Fingers, sable/w 6 month old pretty baby with clean wedge head, moulded foreface, flat skull, dark correct shaped eye, good conformation & bone, moved OK. Needs to settle down
